Dear Parishioners,
Last weekend we enjoyed three wonderful celebrations, with 74 children making their First Communion. It was a joy to see their innocent faces full of expectation, and to see the effort their parents had made to dress them so beautifully and appropriately. I thank everyone involved in preparing the children, especially our school staff and our parish catechists, under the leadership of Fran Italiano and Linda Yapp. I would also like to thank Anabelle May and the staff, volunteers and friends of Personal Advocacy Service, for welcoming the children at their monthly PAS Mass. I am very pleased at how smoothly we have incorporated First Communion into our weekend celebrations and I thank Sue Goodwin and her Sacramental Team for working with all our parish ministries to ensure that everything is done with a minimum of fuss.Read more…
