On this Sixth Sunday of Easter, we also celebrate Mother’s Day. I have been told that to forget to honour one’s mother on this day amounts to a mortal sin that needs to be confessed ASAP; an appropriate recompense such as a double share of chocolates, flowers, or even an all-expenses paid trip to Hawaii is also highly warranted.
