Supporting Your Parish Financially
Each person’s capacity to give is different and depends on individual circumstances. There is no expectation to give any more than you can.
Our parish provides a place for people to gather and worship. We are proud of the environment we worship and gather in and it is important to maintain and care for it now and for those who follow. This comes at a cost both financially and in time given by members of our community.
People have always been generous in supporting their priests and their parishes and the financial support through the parish collections enables the Church to continue its Mission.
First Collection
The first collection supports the living costs of the priests of the parish and goes towards their monthly stipends; the household costs include food, utilities, cleaning, vehicles running and maintenance etc . A small percentage goes towards covering the expenses of the Archbishop in caring for elderly priests. Income from other sources includes Easter and Christmas offerings. Wedding and Baptism donations are also added into the first collection.
