Faith Development
Development and growth in all aspects of our faith is encouraged and is ongoing. The Church invites us to take on the responsibility to explore ways to grow in our faith and the teachings of the Church.
Ongoing faith development is provided in a variety of ways. A parish library in the parish centre is a space that is available for quiet reading and reflection and books may be borrowed.
Speakers on a variety of topics are invited to the parish from time to time. Regular handouts ‘about the liturgy’ are available in the church.
Parish Religious Education Programme for Children (PREP)
Parish Religious education classes for primary school-aged children not attending Catholic schools. The after-school classes are held in our parish centre each Wednesday during school terms from 4.15pm to 5.20pm. Please note that two years of classes are required before the reception of any of the Sacraments.
With the support of the parent and the parish, the children form friendships and become part of a faith community which can only encourage them to seek a loving relationship with God.
Please email Mrs Sue Goodwin, PREP Coordinator at prep@infantjesusparish.org.au or contact parish office at 9276 8500.
Bible Study
Join us on Thursdays
Sacred Scripture is the living Word of God that speaks to us anew today. With books in the Bible that are arguably 3,000 years old, knowing the historical, cultural, and literal contexts of each passage is vital. Our great hope is that the Bible can come alive for you in all its inexhaustible richness, and so we invite you to join us as we prayerful explore the many aspects of the Sunday Gospel reading each week.
Book Club
Join the parish’s ABC (Another Book Club). As the name suggests, this club is about exploring our faith with a sense of joy and serious fun! The club meets on 1st Monday evening of the month from 6.30pm to 8pm in the parish library. To find out more, please contact Ms Marion Wayne at goodnesstruthbeauty@yahoo.com.
