Today we begin Holy Week. We recall Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem where we join the crowd in proclaiming, ‘blessing to the king’. The second part features an extended reading of the Passion of the Lord where we come to see what being a king is for Jesus. He is one who lays down his life for all humanity.

Collect: Grant, almighty God, through the yearly observances of holy Lent, that we may grow in understanding of the riches hidden in Christ and by worthy conduct pursue their effects. The word Lent arises from the ‘lengthening’ of the days of the northern hemisphere, it evokes Spring and hope for better weather with more sunshine.

Perpetual Novena in honour of Our Lady of Mt Carmel is held Wednesdays at 6.30pm.

Stations of the Cross are held on Wednesday evenings during the Season of Lent.

Friday from 9.30 – 10.30am.

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
